Dear Devotees,
The Hindu Temple of Central Texas, established in 2001, to serve the Hindu community of Central Texas has, over the past 2 decades, contributed significantly to teach the principles of Hindu Philosophy to our community and to our next generation of children as well as serving the spiritual and religious needs of the community. Many learned devotees have time and again volunteered to teach the Bhagavad Gita, bhajans, Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, yoga, Samskritam, and the significance of our festivities and cultural traditions to our children.
In the past few years, we have seen a significant growth of our Hindu population in Central Texas. As a result, the classrooms and space we have at the present time is not sufficient to accommodate all the children for our weekend classes. We also do not have dedicated classrooms to conduct these classes.
HTCT desires to build a new building for four classrooms and a library which will be beneficial to the many devotees and their children in the future.
With this intention, a Bhoomi Puja will be held at 9:00 a.m. on May 7th on the land adjacent to the temple next to the Priests’ quarters. All are invited to attend this function.
We request everyone to be part of this major project and donate generously by clicking on the link below Checks are also welcome.
