9TH ANNUAL BHAGAVAD GITA CHANTING COMPETITION AND QUIZ ON HINDUISM
August 26, 2017, 10:00 a.m.
GITA VERSES for RECITATION: Chapter 6, Verses 1-20.
RECITATION TIME: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Please be seated by 9:45 a.m. so that the event can start on time.
Grouping for Gita Chanting is as follows:
Pre-KG & KG - 5 verses (1-5)
1st & 2nd Gr - 7 verses (1-7)
3rd & 4th Gr - 10 verses (1-10)
5th & 6th Gr - 15 verses (1-15)
7th Gr & up- 20 verses (1-20)
Each participant may present the meaning of one favorite verse from these 20 verses.
Judging is based on:
1. Clarity of expression
2. Memory power
3. Confidence in presentation

Quiz on Hinduism (Oral only) to follow the chanting competition.
Elementary, Middle and High School Levels.

Registration Fee: $15.00 per child for both chanting and quiz. $10 for either chanting or quiz.
