AYYAPPA POOJA followed by a MUSIC CONCERT

6:00 p.m. Bala Ganapathy Pooja, Ayyappa abhishekam & Vedic chanting, Alamkaram with bhajans, Mantrapushpam,Pradakshinam, Namaskaram, Saranaghosham, lighting of the 18 steps

Recitation of Ayyappa Aarati, Omkara mahaGanapathy Pooja and Harivarasanam.

Special Meals the devotees prepare and bring will be served after.

This will be followed by a MUSIC CONCERT by

Mahesh Krishnamoorthy Iyer started learning violin under Vidwan Sri. S. Easwara Varma, from Swathi Thirunal Music Academy in Thiruvananthapuram. Over the years, he has continued his trainingin the USA under several visiting artists from India.

He has since matured into a promising violinist and has performed with numerous artists such as Sangeetha Kalanidhi Padma Bhushan Sudha Ragunathan, Madurai G.S. Mani, Vishaal Saapuram, Papanasam Ashok Ramani, Madurai Sundar and others

He was also invited to perform in the presence of Padma Vibushan Sangeetha Kalanidhi Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna. Mahesh is and engineer by profession, but always finds time for music. Very active in the cultural circles of Houston and Sri Meenakshi Temple, Mahesh is the Founder/Director of Pranavam Violin Academy and organizes several music programs through his school.

Naga Srinidhi Kuruvada has been learning Carnatic Mridangam and Vocal since the age of five for the last nine years. He has been learning vocal under Vidhushi Smt. Shubhapradha and Vidhushi Smt. R. Chandrika in Bangalore. He has been learning Mridangam from Vidwan M Vasudeva Rao and Vidwan S V Balakrishna.

Srinidhi has participated in many competitions and given performances in Bangalore, Mysore and Houston. He has also completed the audition for children in AIR Bangalore in the year 2012 and has also performed in several concerts over the past three years.

He was a student of Sri Kumarans Public School in Bangalore and is currently studying in 8 th grade in Woodcreek Junior High School in Katy, Texas.
