Ajaibhai from Sri Upasana, India will be chanting Sundar Kand from Tulsi Ramayana at HTCT Saraswati Nilayam from 4.00 PM on Saturday 10th July 2010.
 

What is Sundar Kand?


Sundar Kand is the 5th chapter from of Ram Charit Manas -Ramayan written by Saint Goswami Tulsidaas in Awadhi language 500 years back. It depicts the love between Shri Rama and Devi Janaki and devotion of Hanumanji towards Shri Rama in search of Maa Janaki. When reminded of his forgotten powers by Jambavant, he gets ready to cross ocean to reach Lanka. During his journey he overcomes many obstacles. In Lanka, he meets King Raavana’s younger brother Bibhishena who directs him to Ashokvana where Maa Janaki is held captive by Raavana. After giving her Shri Rama’s ring, on the pretext of eating fruits, he destroys many trees in Ashokvana. As King Raavana sends his  mighty son Akshaykumar to fight, Hanumanji kills him, which further angers King Raavana. His other mighty son Indrajeet captures Hanumanji and brings to the King Raavana. As a punishment king Raavana puts Hanumanji’s tail on fire. Hanumanji spreads this fire all over Lanka and with Maa Janaki’s blessing comes back to Shri Rama. Hanumanji uses his intellectual, spiritual and physical powers to carry out the Lord’s order and work with complete devotion. Saint Goswami Tulsidaas has very well described it poetically in Dohas(two line stanzas) and Choupais(four line stanzas).

Pujya Ajaybhai Yagnik is Lord Shri Hanuman’s devotee, and has totally surrendered to Him. Not only he has been singing/reciting/preaching “Sundar Kand” since his young age going from places to places, either in India or abroad but he is trying to live it. He has travelled all over India –north, south, east and west and
has also visited UK, USA, Mauritius, Philippines, Sri Lanka and some other Asian and African countries.

On educational background, Pujya Ajaybhai Yagnik is a top rank commerce post graduate-M.Com-from prestigious Allahabad University. He has worked on managerial post for various companies.


As he has been ardent devotee of Lord shri Rama and Sri Hanuman since his childhood, he decided resign from job 15 years ago to devote his life at lotus feet of Lord by singing His glories going home by home, state by state, country by country. He has been coming to USA regularly.

During his last visits Shri Yagnikji performed at various Temples in Chicago, Ohio, Detroit, Indiana, Wisconsin, Texas and Michigan and many devotees Home. Pujya Ajaybhai has been felicitated and recognized by president of Mauritius and presidents of many temples. And blessed by many well-known saints like Paramhans Paramanandji, Swami Arjun Puriji of Haridwar, Morari Bapu, Swami Adhyatmanadji of Divine Life of Amdabad, Pujya Bhupendrabhai Pandya, Pujya Rameshbhai Oza, and Ritumbhara Devi, Maa Amrutamayi and many others.


He has been blessed by Hanumanji to give his services in famous temples like Salasar Balaji, Mehandipur Balaji, Delhi-Connaught place Hanuman Mandir and Ujjain Jyortirling “Maha-Kaleshwar”many times. Recently he offered his services at Haridwar Kumbh mela for a week.
 

Pujya Ajaybhai also performs Ganesh-Shiv-Durga bhajans and Krishna Bhajans.
